EVERY December, a date that the Quality Wool team eagerly looks forward to is circled on the company calendar.

That date is the day that Hudson, Ian and Jenny Thomas visit the company’s Adelaide head office for their annual Christmas catch‑up.

Hudson’s parents Brad, a former Quality Wool team member, and Rebecca were tragically taken in a road accident in June, 2015.

Five years old at the time, Hudson then went into the care of grandparents Ian and Jenny, who Quality Wool pledged to support by funding Hudson’s schooling from Reception to Year 7

Now nine, Hudson is not only making great strides academically at Pedare Christian College but also on the sporting field as a baseballer with East Torrens Redsox, the same club his late father played for.

"Every year, Hudson visit Quality’s Adelaide head office with his grandparents before Christmas, proudly showing off his school work and extra‑curricular activities for the year and exchanging gifts before the festive season".

Quality Wool Managing Director Mark Dyson said the company had been deeply affected by the loss of Brad and Rebecca, and wanted to show support for Ian and Jenny any way they could.

“They really are doing a fantastic job of raising this young man,” he said.

“We genuinely look forward to their visit every year and seeing how far Hudson has come on, so much so that he has his own ‘wall’ in our boardroom where we proudly display his achievements”.
