Quality Wool’s founder and managing director, Mark inherited a love of wool from his family in WA who owned and operated a private wool buying and exporting business in Fremantle.
After his introduction to global wool exports working for Japanese and French companies as a junior buyer, the father of four established Quality Wool in Port Adelaide in 1991.

Growing up in Port Adelaide around the stores and docks once the hub of SA wool buying and selling, it’s little wonder Glen would choose a life in that industry.
A founding member of Quality Wool from 1991, Glen has also been central to the Q’s community programs including creating the annual Quality Wool Cup cricket tournament in Port Lincoln.
Alongside Managing Director Mark Dyson and Glen Forbes, Jenny has been one of the mainstays and driving forces behind Quality Wool's continued growth over almost three decades.
Born and bred in the small township of Ivanhoe in far-west NSW where is she still a regular visitor, May 2019 marked Jenny’s 25th anniversary with the company.
Quality Wool’s Financial Controller since 2013, Troy graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Accounting in 2008 and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia since 2011.
Joining the wool industry from accounting firm Pitcher Partners, on the weekends Troy dons a baseball uniform with the East Torrens Redsox.
One of Quality Wool’s longest-serving members having joined the company in 1998, Jack has been a familiar voice to growers providing accounts assistance for over two decades.
Celebrating his 20th anniversary with Quality in July 2018 and coming from a talented sporting family including a SANFL footballer and A-League player, Jack is a passionate golfer who plays at every opportunity.
Beginning his career in the wool industry in 1986, Mark spent 27 years working in the administrative side of greasy, carbonised and scoured wool exports before the move to Quality in 2016.
Mark has since become a vital part of Quality Wool's administrative team, and has also co-owned a number of racing greyhounds including the aptly named 'Snakebite Bale'.
Born in Adelaide but raised in Clare in SA’s Mid North, Kane joined Quality Wool in 2016 after a career in the Royal Australian Air Force and as a reporter with News Limited.
Responsible for maintaining Quality's various social media platforms among other duties, Kane is a keen sports fan and member of the Port Adelaide Football Club.
