SPIRITED bidding both in the sale shed and online through AuctionsPlus has underpinned Quality Wool and Livestock's 2022 Ram sale season, which wrapped up yesterday at Telpara Suffolk Stud, Hartley.

The 'Telpara Type' was in high demand with 54/59 Suffolk Rams sold to an average of $1,398.15, with the top‑priced ram going for $3,000.00 to Monapilla Estate, McLaren Vale.

There was also a 100 per cent clearance of Suffolk Ewes to an average of $1,124.00, while guest vendors Ramsay Park Studs sold 5/6 offerings to an average of $1,160.00.

All eight sales Quality were involved in as either sale driver or in conjunction with another agency were live‑streamed on AuctionsPlus, providing the capability of online bidding and increasing the competition for the vendor's product.

There was also a first in 2022, with Jamestown's Hendowie Poll Merinos holding their inaugural Ram sale and presenting a boutique offering at Jamestown Racecourse on Monday.

Quality Wool and Livestock wishes to convey their thanks to all vendors who provided the opportunity to be involved in their 2022 Ram sales, to AuctionsPlus for facilitating the live‑streaming interface and online cataloguing, and to Pandy Films and beccyg Photography for their support in sale preparation.
