Originally intended to be an Easter recess, Week 42 instead brought about a one‑day sale on the recommendation of the National Auction Selling Committee (NASC).
The reasoning behind the decision was to give growers another opportunity to sell before any potential future shutdown, while brokers encouraged to offer wool from only motivated sellers.
